Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar: This series recounted the cases "the man with the action-packed expense account, America’s fabulous freelance insurance investigator, Johnny Dollar". The name of the show derives from the fact that he closed each show by totaling his expense account, and signing it "End of report... Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar".This show ran for twelves years beginning in 1949 and eight actors played Johnny Dollar including Charles Russell, Edmond O'Brien and John Lund. After a one year hiatus from 1954-55, Johnny Dollar return to radio starring Bob Bailey. These were 15 minute weekday serialized episodes continuing through November 1956 when the show reverted back to a weekly half-hour program. Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was the last continuing detective series of the Golden Age of Radio. The programs available here are from 1960s.
