Zasu Pitts: After a brief career as a leading actress in silent pictures, Zasu Pitts is best remembered today for her scatterbrained character roles in several 1930s and 40s comedies. Here are some of her best movies that we have collected for you from the Nostalgia Merchant. Zasu often starred in B movies and comedy shorts, teaming with Thelma Todd. She also played secondary parts in many films. Her movie personality (a fretful, flustered, worrisome spinster) made her instantly recognizable and was often imitated in cartoons and other films. She starred in a number of Hal Roach shorts and features, and co-starred in a series of feature-length comedies with Slim Summerville. |
